Regional Science Fair features 123 student projects
Lamar Community College’s Wellness Center was packed with area students and their projects for the annual Southeast Colorado Science Fair in February. The science fair featured 123 projects from the elementary through high school levels and included students from Alta Vista, Campo, Cheyenne Wells, Eads, Holly, Lamar, Springfield, Walsh, and Wiley.

Statewide Search Underway for 2 Conejos County Escapees
A search is underway for two men who escaped from the Conejos County Jail Friday.
During a routine check of the jail’s housing unit, Kyle Cornett Pauley, 30, and Lawrence Gonzales, 22, were discovered to be missing. A lockdown of the facility was ordered, and inmates were counted.
