Scammers go 'old school' with IRS mailing

(Greater Dakota News Service) The next time a scammer tries to target you, it might not be through a text message with a harmful link.  The Internal Revenue Service says bad actors are using the mail delivery system to prey on people by telling them they're owed a refund. Officials say the mailing comes in a cardboard envelope from a delivery service.

EPA sued again by environmental groups over Colorado ozone plan approval

(Colorado Newsline) The Environmental Protection Agency’s approval of Colorado’s plans to tackle ozone pollution is again being challenged in court by environmental groups, who say state and federal officials are failing to sufficiently scrutinize oil-and-gas-related emissions at the core of the problem.

‘Lost Sand Creek’ book presentation set for Cheyenne County

Mike Bowen, co-author, We Found the Lost Sand Creek Site, will be presenting Friday, July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cheyenne County Community Building meeting room on how Sand Creek became lost. 

The public is invited to come learn about Chuck and Sheri Bowen’s Sand Creek discovery. They found over 4,000 artifacts which reveals the real location of the 1864 event. It is free to attend.

Colorado Democratic lawmakers file lawsuit against own party alleging open meetings law violation

(The Center Square) – Two Democratic members of the Colorado House of Representatives filed a lawsuit against the speaker, majority leader, minority leader and the caucuses of both parties alleging they violated the state’s open meetings law.
