Gardner, Wicker, Heitkamp, and Colleagues Encourage Support of 4-H

The Senate unanimously approved a bipartisan resolution introduced by Senators Cory Gardner (R-CO), Roger Wicker (R-MS), and Heidi Heitkamp, (D-ND) in support of 4-H and its recently-launched "Grow True Leaders" campaign. The measure, which is cosponsored by 34 senators, recognizes the immeasurable benefits of the national 4-H program for young people and its potential growth under the new initiative.

Gardner Announces USDA Grant for Flood Projects in Colorado

Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) has announced the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Emergency Watershed Protection (EWP) program will make $10,240,800 available to Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs for the purposes of restoration and flood mitigation after severe weather impacted the region last year. Gardner sent a letter on July 10, 2015 to President Obama requesting federal assistance for several counties in Colorado impacted by significant weather events.

Colorado DMV to Begin Statewide Rollout of New Driver License Design

The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) will start a two-week statewide rollout of the newly designed driver licenses, instruction permits and identification cards beginning April 6, 2016.  

Offices will be closed one day prior to issuing the new design to allow for the installation of new equipment and for training. Please refer to the DMV website for up-to-date closure information for specific offices.  In addition, closure information will also be posted at each office.
