2022 Kiowa County 4-H Wrap-Up
With the end of Kiowa County fair, I want to let everyone how proud I am of the youth of our county. I hope that we all realize how hard these kids work on all their projects. They have spent all summer making, feeding, and growing these projects and a work ethic that we all should strive for.
Kiowa county sent 39 outstanding projects to State Fair and did very well.
Alexa Nelson competed in the State fashion review, and Clayton Nelson, Gaige Rittgers, and Landon Zimmerman in the State Shooting Sports competition.
I want to thank all the member, parents, and leaders since none of this would be possible without your hard work and dedication.
I want to give a big thank you to those that made the Livestock show and sale a success:
- Our judges Gabriella (Gabri) Leone, Rick Leone, Brooke Matthews, and her Otero College students for judging Round Robin
- The Livestock committee for keeping things running smoothly Tim Trosper, Rod Cole, Trent Jones, Junior McDowell, Justin Lenox, Mark and Michelle Nelson, and Nathanial and Holly Mitchek.
- Krystal Eikenberg and Nancy Walker for keeping show records.
- Gloria Trosper, Trosper Family, and 4-H Families for running the two concession stands through fair and other events.
A huge thank you to Flock auctions for clerking the sale and handling that huge process.
Last a thank you to the Livestock Buyers and Supporters.
There will be an updated and finalized sale report later.
