
Arrest made in Lincoln County burglary
The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office announced that officers have apprehended suspects involved in a burglary reported near Limon May 9.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., the Sheriff's Office received a report of a burglary occurring in an unincorporated area northeast of Limon. A short time later, Lincoln County Communications received a report that the burglary victim had spotted the suspect vehicle traveling on nearby county roads.
Sergeant Ryan Erwin located the vehicle and initiated a high-risk traffic stop. Deputy Jason Farley and Sergeant Dustin Cunningham also responded to the scene. During the ensuing investigation, Sergeant Cunningham discovered evidence linking the suspects to the burglary, as well as dangerous weapons, a large quantity of narcotics, and burglary tools.
“The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office extends its sincere appreciation to all involved,” a media release stated, “especially the vigilant citizens of Lincoln County whose security footage and awareness played a crucial role in this case.”
