Did you know that Colorado will hold a Presidential Primary Election March 3, 2020? As of now, there will be six Republicans and 17 Democrats who will be on the ballot. 

All active, registered, eligible voters will receive a mail ballot for the election. Check your voter registration to ensure that it is active and update your voter registration online at www.govotecolorado.com. 

You may also update your registration and cast a ballot through Election Day at the Kiowa County Clerk and Recorder’s Office. 

March 3, 2020 PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION DATES:

• February 10, 2020; first day ballots are mailed to active, eligible, registered voters.
• Ballot Drop off location open: Kiowa County Clerk’s Office or use the 24 hour Drop Box on the west side of the Kiowa County Courthouse.
• Deadline to register to vote by mail, at a voter registration agency, a local drivers’ license facility or online and receive a ballot by mail is Monday, February 24, 2020.
• The Kiowa County Clerk’s Office will be open Saturday, February 29, 2020 8:00 a.m.to noon. We will be open ONLY for ballot drop off, voting registration and other election information.
• PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY ELECTION DAY: Tuesday, March 3, 2020 
  7:00 a.m. -7:00 p.m.
  POLLING LOCATION: Kiowa County Courthouse 1305 Goff Street, Eads, Colorado 81036

All ballots must be in the hands of the County Clerk (any County Clerk in the State of Colorado) by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted. Postmarks DO NOT COUNT! (Exception – Military and Overseas Voters.)

PRIMARY ELECTION INFORMATION:

Two local County Commissioner races (District-1 and District-3) will be on the ballot for the June 30, 2020, Kiowa County Primary Election.  Important dates for the 2020 Kiowa County Primary will be posted at a later date.
