Eads weekend forecast: Sunny, mid-80s Saturday and Sunday with breezy nights
Sunny, unseasonably warm weather is forecast to continue in Kiowa County this weekend, with highs of 86 degrees Saturday and 85 Sunday, according to the National Weather Service in Pueblo. Breezy southerly winds are expected both nights.
Saturday should be sunny, with a high near 86. West-southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph will turn south in the afternoon. Tonight is forecast to be clear and breezy, with a low around 51 and south winds of 10 to 20 mph, gusting as high as 35 mph. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low near 59.
“Moisture increases this weekend over the mountains, while the plains remain warm and dry,” a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Pueblo wrote in Friday’s Area Forecast Discussion. Forecasters say the pattern changes next week, with much cooler and unsettled weather starting Tuesday.
No warnings in effect
The Pueblo office listed no watches, warnings or advisories in its Friday afternoon discussion. Still, temperatures well above normal and gusty winds can make outdoor burning and equipment use risky, so residents should use caution.
