Another busy week coming up. This is the last week of school before Christmas break. The teachers will return January 6, and the kids January 7.

Monday this week, the junior high basketball team will be playing Cheyenne Wells at Plainview starting at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, they will be playing Kit Carson at Plainview at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday is the kids Christmas program "Presents on Parade" at 6:00 p.m. They have worked really hard and would love to have everyone come and enjoy their program. Santa will make an appearance after the program.

Thursday is our Plainview faculty and staff Christmas party at the Towner Community Hall at 6:00 p.m.

Connie Weber was down to spend the weekend with her parents, Denis and Theresa Weber. All of them traveled back to Denver Sunday to spend a few days with other family members in the area.

Cora Coffman and all of her family gathered at the home of her daughter, Sheila Brase, and husband, Jeff, of Cheyenne Wells to celebrate an early Christmas Sunday.

Susan Greenfield and several volunteers worked at the movie theatre in Eads over the weekend. They were really busy as the show, "Frozen 2," was a big hit, especially with the younger generation.

Basketball season has started. The Plainview/Eads basketball team competed in the "Border Wars" tournament over the weekend in Syracuse, Kansas.

Dick and I were in Pueblo all day Friday for doctor appointments and to do some Christmas shopping. We are hosting an early Christmas celebration this coming weekend at our home. All of our boys, daughter-in-law, and most of the grandchildren and our newest great grandson will be here. Fun - Fun!!

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year. See you next year!!
