- The Union Pacific is preparing to discontinue through traffic from Pueblo to Towner, including coal and vehicle carrier trains. UP will continue providing local service while negotiations with a short line operator to take over the line.
- Nursing Home News- Nellie Nichert: The affair crowning a new Silver Queen and King for various counties was the destination for myself, as ex-queen, Mary Shade, Dorthea Mayes and June Wilcox. We arrived late it seems, to an empty building. They had held the choosing and crowing and had disbanded.
