Ian J. MacLaren appointed to the Dolores County Court

Colorado Governor Jared Polis has appointed Ian J. MacLaren to the Dolores County Court in the 22nd Judicial District. The vacancy was created by the resignation of the Honorable Matthew G. Margeson and is effective June 1, 2024.

MacLaren is the Montezuma County Attorney, a position he has held since 2021. His practice consists of civil matters. MacLaren is also a Dove Creek Municipal Court Judge, a position he has held since 2023. His docket consists of municipal matters.

Previously, he was Assistant Montezuma County Attorney (2016-2021) and Private Practitioner at Ian MacLaren Attorney at Law (2016-2021).

MacLaren received his B.A. from the College of Holy Cross in 2009 and his J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law in 2012.

Colorado’s 22nd Judicial District includes Dolores and Montezuma counties.
