The Kiowa County Fair has a number of events schedules during the week of September 8-14. 

• Sunday September 8 will be the Kiowa County Riding Club Open Gymkhana
• Wednesday and Thursday, the 4-H and FFA Livestock Exhibits with the Livestock sale on Friday.

The open Exhibit Hall has gardening to canning, antiques display, artists and crafts displays along with 4-H projects. 

• Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. is the SECCC barrel Race.
• Thursday at 1:00 p.m.  the Working Dog Trials, and at 6:00 p.m. Team Roping
• For the younger set there is Kid’s Amusement that includes a bouncy house which will be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday that opens at 11 am.
• There will a Chuckwagon Breakfast on Maine Street (north of GN Bank) Thursday and Friday mornings.
• Saturday, September 14 will be the Parade on Maine Street This year theme is from Mary Marble “Moving on with Hope, Faith and Courage”

The barbecue will be at noon at the fairgrounds Friday and Saturday. CPRA and Horse Racing at the Grandstand start at 1:00 p.m.

• Fair Wristband pre-sales are available at the Kiowa County Courthouse in the Commissioners’ Office. Wristbands will be sold at the booth just west of the grandstands during fair. 
• Wristbands are only required for the barbeques and grandstand entry for the rodeos.  They will not be required for general admission into the fairgrounds.  
• There will be two barbecues again this year, with beef Friday and pork Saturday.
• The cost is $8 for one day or $15 for both Friday and Saturday.  

Friday night at 7:00 p.m. will be the Ranch Rodeo, and Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. will be Ranch Bronc Riding.
