- A holiday greeting card designed by Wesley Borns, age 10, of Eads was selected as one of five cards to be sold by Children’s Hospital to benefit the hospital Cancer Center
- The Eads Volunteer Fire Department is looking for people to join the department to help the community.
- Cindy Pitman and her father, James Engelhardt, have been restoring the now-famous-in-history Haswell Jail
40 Years Ago - November 25, 1983
- Plainview High School walked away with top honors at the Knowledge Bowl held in Lamar. Eads came in third. The Bowl attracted over 100 area students from 14 southeast Colorado high schools.
50 Years Ago - November 23, 1973
- The Eads Juniors presented a series of three plays, with the Young Patriots singing between plays. The Plainview Seniors presented the play “Everybody’s Getting Married.”
75 Years Ago - November 1948
- The Gambles store in Eads advertised for sale a new two bedroom home (FOB Minnesota) for $2,275.
100 Years Ago - November 1923
- Three big loads of turkeys were brought to Eads by farmers living south of Kit Carson and bought by J.L. Eales. The check was for $330, the price per pound being 22 cents.
