• CPA and Eads town auditor Gary Woodard presented the 2008 overall financial performance to be better than past years.
• East End Events- Sharon Scott: Lots of wheat was lost due to the hail storms that hit our area.
• As the West End Turns- Michelle Wyckoff: I needed tags for my new car and I knew exactly what I wanted. They had to be perfect. I’m picky that way. Everything has to coordinate.

• Dony McPherson invested $5 in a Colorado Lottery MegaMoney scratch ticket netted him a $100,000 payoff.
• Wild Horse Roundup- Curtis Schrimp: It seems kind of nice when you look back after mowing and the weeds have disappeared.

• In an attempt to expand medical services to outlying regions of Cheyenne County, Dr. Hadley and Dr. Fuhrman have a satellite clinic in Kit Carson.

• Mrs. Kelley accidently broke the bottom out of the kerosene jug in the basement. Some coals rolled out into the kerosene and ignited, providing a little practice for the fire department.
