- Kit Carson Clips- Marilyn White: Would anyone like (free) five big red young roosters? They crow very loud, strong, and often.
- USDA Update- Rod Johnson: After announcing the 2008 prevented planting would be allowed, we received an amendment to the handbook that took prevented planting out.
25 Years Ago - February 11, 2000
- The Kiowa County Economic Development Foundation has launched their first annual membership drive.
40 Years Ago - February 8, 1985
- Eads was among 20 applicants who submitted a bid to have a prison built in the county.
- Plainview first Winter Festival was a big success. Everything from snowman building and popcorn eating contests to a shoot-a-thon and scavenger hunt. A good time was had by all.
50 Years Ago - February 7, 1975
- The Coachlight Café in Eads will begin selling tickets for the Continental Trailways Bus line.
- Recent addition to the United Methodist church was a two manual organ with an Allen digital computer tone generation system.
