• About Town- Melissa Peterson & Doris Lessenden: The Haswell Halloween Hoedown was really terrific. Most came in western attire for the potluck supper, games, and contest.
• Eads Board of Trustees held a special meeting to discuss the 2009 budget. Mr. Woodward went over the budget line by line answering questions.

• Twenty-two pheasants raised by Ronnie Phillips were banded and released as culmination of a Wildlife Habitation Improvement program.
• Forty-four Colorado 4-H members, including Ron Rehfeld of Sheridan Lake, were chosen state winners in the National 4-H Award Program for 1973.
