The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Monday January 9, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Hall. Robin Fox took roll call:

• Mayor – Joe D. Shields- Present
• Trustees – Present –Dennis Pearson, Stephanie Sewell ( zoom), Tuck Liebl, and Fred Derby
• Absent – Justin McLoud, Kathy McCracken
• Town Clerk- Robin Fox
• Assistant Clerk- Mikahael McCracken
• Director of Public Works-Van Brown- Trent Rittgers
• Town Attorney – Lance Clark –

Minutes­- Dennis Pearson moved to approve the minutes as presented. Fred Derby seconded, motion passed unanimously.

Approval of Bills – The finance committee reviewed the bills prior to the meeting. Fred Derby moved to approve payment of the bills. Tuck Liebl seconded, motion passed unanimously.

New Business- Ordinance 415 Rate Changes for utilities.  After looking at the different percentages for the increase, the board decided on 5% raise on all utilities. They will also raise the deposit amount from $50.00 to $150.00. They will also raise the late fees from $10.00 to $20.00 and report to the credit bureau for past due and non payments. Stephanie Sewell moved to approve and Dennis Pearson seconded, Tuck Liebl opposed the raise but the motion passed after the vote.

Airport Farm Ground is coming up for another 5- year lease. Advertisement will begin immediately and be due by March. The new lease will start April 1, 2024, to the highest bidder.

Grant contract with GOCO- Lance Clark town attorney was present he will look over the contract and make any changes he thinks we need to make.

Bring up items: Van has one bring up item that he feels needs to be addressed with a member of the community and their property line. The attorney will look over this and get back to Van.

Executive Session: Van would like this to discuss his wage with the board and the attorney. They went into executive session at 6:10. Present during the session were Van, the town board and attorney Lance Clark.
