Weekend Weather Outlook: Severe Storms Possible Saturday
By Chris Sorensen
A shortwave tough moving through the state Saturday, combined with available moisture, brings the potential for severe storms over the eastern plains during the afternoon.
The system could produce a mix of severe weather, including damaging winds and large hail.
Friday starts out sunny, with a high in the mid-70s ahead of low 80s Saturday and upper 80s Sunday into Wednesday.
Overnight lows will be in the upper 40s to low 50s through the middle of the week.
In addition to the severe storms Saturday, Friday night also presents a chance for thunderstorms. As normal, one-tenth inch of rain is possible, with substantially higher amounts where thunderstorms occur.
