Herman and Betty Martin have been named the 2023 Cheyenne County Tumbleweed Fair Parade Marshals. Herman taught for two years in Towner, 23 years in Arapahoe, and finished his career as the Cheyenne Wells principal. Betty raised their five children as well as worked at the hospital, dress store, and spent summers as the chief truck driver and harvest cook. Together, they farmed and ranched with their children.
