Janet Lynne Schiro of La Junta passed away February 5, 2022, at the age of 64. She was born August 3, 1957, in Rocky Ford to Howard Vance Holter and Lois Jean (Henney) Holter.

In late March 2022, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized a second booster shot of COVID-19 vaccines for vulnerable populations in the U.S., a move that was soon after endorsed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

A graveside service for longtime Lamar resident Nicki J. Filbeck will be held at 1:00 p.m. MST/ 2:00 p.m. CST Friday, April 15, 2022, at the Johnson Cemetery in Johnson City, Kansas with Pastor Paul Floyd of the High Plains Fellowship Church officiating.

Per Nicki’s request there will be no visitation.
