States hope to use rural health money to keep doctors, combat chronic disease
States are seeking money to bolster emergency services, address chronic diseases, and recruit and train more doctors and nurses.
Funeral services are pending for lifelong Sheridan Lake rancher and farmer Merle L. Shalberg.
Mr. Shalberg was born January 6, 1936, in Sheridan Lake, and passed away November 10, 2025, surrounded by his family at Weisbrod Hospital in Eads following a very brief illness at the age of 89.
