he federal government has accepted Colorado's plan to waive its school accountability requirements for the 2020-2021 school year.

Lamar Community College (LCC) students and employees who are struggling have a variety of supportive services at their fingertips. All they need to do is ask. 

LopesCares Coordinator Susan Frankel is determined to help support the well-being of students and staff at LCC. Along with the work of her predecessor, Dr. Rosalind Smith, and the support of the college, LCC has services to ensure that students and employees of LCC can be successful.

The May Ranch of Lamar has been selected as the recipient of the 2021 Colorado Leopold Conservation Award.

BOARD MEETING - February 23, 2021

The Kiowa County Hospital District and County Board met in regular session on February 23, 2021 at 6:33 p.m. at Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room and via Zoom. 

District Board members present were: Mary Eikner, Sylvia Shields, Craig Kerfoot and Meghan Buck. Absent: Cathryn Anderson (called).
