Kiowa County Commissioners meeting minutes – November 15, 2018
The Regular Kiowa County Commissioner's Meeting was called to order by Chairman, Richard Scott on November 15, 2018 at 9:00 am. Oswald opened the meeting with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance. Those in Attendance:

Tina Adamson, County Administrator
Howard "Butch'' Robertson (Commissioner•Elect)
Oswald moved and McLoud seconded the motion to approve minutes as presented. Motion carried.
USDA Update - December 28, 2018
USDA Service Center in Eads will close January 2 until funding is restored.
Fees start at Kiowa County’s remaining landfill Tuesday
Last free landfill in Colorado adding fees to cover new required costs.
Upcoming Events
- The lapse of federal appropriations and the subsequent partial shutdown of government agencies has forced the closure of the Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site in Kiowa County according to Acting Superintendent Janet Frederick. She states the closure of the site is for the safety of visitors and park resources
- The LCC campus will be closed from Tuesday, December 25, through Wednesday, January 2, Library and The Study closed at the end of the finals week and will reopen again on January 7. The Fitness Center will be closed: December 31 and January 1.
