Graveside services for lifelong Eads, Colorado resident, Pamella “Pam” Mast will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Eads Cemetery in Eads, Colorado with L.D. Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Valley Memorial Funeral Chapel in Lamar.
Much-needed precipitation is entering southern Colorado Tuesday as a moist upper low pressure area makes its way across New Mexico. Another system is expected for the weekend.
Premier Farm Credit, American AgCredit, Farm Credit of Southern Colorado and CoBank have announced they will donate a total of $25,000 to the Colorado Farm Bureau’s Disaster Relief Fund to help the farmers and ranchers impacted by the recent fire in Logan and Phillips counties.

The Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site will switch to its summer schedule beginning Saturday, April 1, 2017. The park will open daily from 9 am to 4 pm, seven days a week. This schedule will remain in effect through November 30, 2017.
The park will remain open for all three summer federal holidays – Memorial Day (May 29th), Fourth of July (July 4th), and the Labor Day (September 4th).

Sessions Provide Information for Students with Military Service Aspirations
Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet encourages students to learn more about attending U.S. service academies.
In April and May, Bennet’s office, in coordination with the Colorado congressional delegation, will host information sessions in Colorado for students interested in attending one of the five service academies.
The sessions will offer information about the nomination and application processes for service academies. The events are free and open to the public.
