The unseasonably warm period continues through middle of the week ahead of a cool-down that may bring rain and snow by the end of the week.

Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO), along with bipartisan colleagues from the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate, sent a letter to Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney to encourage adequate funding for the Secure Rural Schools and Self-Determination (SRS) Program.

The letter reads in full:

Dear Director Mulvaney:

Hazardous materials, more commonly referred to as chemicals, are used regularly in our daily lives.  A hazardous material is any solid, liquid, or gas that can cause harm to humans and other living organisms.  Many products containing hazardous chemicals are routinely used and stored in homes.  They are used to grow our food, clean our homes, fuel our cars, and purify our water, which means we have to be careful about how we use and store these chemicals.

I don’t mind Boots. He just curls up quietly against my belly and stays put. But sleeping with Desdemona can be a bit unnerving. She snores. Sometimes she gets little bad dreams and scratches me, too. But hey, I get to come in out of the cold and sleep with Aunt Ada’s cats on her sofa, and a guy can tolerate a certain amount of cat snoring for that.

In observance of President’s Day, many state offices will be closed Monday, February 20.

State driver’s license offices, the department of Public Health and Environment’s vital records office, Colorado Parks and Wildlife Service offices and administrative offices for executive branch departments will be among the facilities closed Monday.

All of Colorado’s state parks will be open and staffed, but administrative offices and visitor centers will be closed.
