Despite the cold, snowy weather on Wednesday, the Senior Citizen Christmas dinner at Plainview School was well attended.  The meal was dellicious and the 2nd and 3rd graders had made cute snowmen favors .

Everyone had a very enjoyable time.  A big thank you to all that made it a very special occasion.

Psalm 37: 4 God wants to be good to you, so tell Him "the desires of your heart".  Then thank Him and the answer will come in His time!

There were two marvelous musical shows in Eads last week.  The first was on Thursday at Eads Elementary School Christmas program under the direction of Mrs. Monica (Fell) Uhland.  The Eagle's Nest Pre-School youngsters taught by Mrs. Jill Williams and Mrs. Kayla McLoud charmed the audience with their darling songs.

This past week was the beginning of basketball season for the Plainview High School boys and girls.  There was a large crowd that turned out for the games.  They host Lamar Monday evening and then are on the road the rest of the week.

The Christmas Craft Fair at Plainview on Saturday was well attended, with lots of different types of vendors offering their wares to the buyers.  I don't know about anyone else, but I hope this becomes an annual affair.  Congratulations to PCC for doing a great job.

We hope everyone had a safe and blessed Thanksgiving Holiday.

Dick, Kyle and I had my mom, Mary Huddleston; my sister, Jerene DeBono and husband Ian; my brothers, Larry and Mike Huddleston and my nephew, Pat Huddleston for Thanksgiving dinner. We were small in number, but we had a great time remembering the good ole' days.  Sure brought back memories long forgotten.

Guests of Cheri Hopkins for Thanksgiving dinner were her daughter Christy and son Evan and his wife Jen and their children.

Not much news this week.  Everyone is staying inside and trying to stay warm.  Our first snow wasn't very much, but enough to count as our first.  The cold weather that followed was hard to adjust to after all the warm days we've had in November.  We tried to make use of every minute on Sunday, putting up more Christmas decorations, while it was warm again.

Stagecoach.  Invented by John Darwin in England in the 1600s.  Described by Google as  "A large, closed horse drawn vehicle formerly used to carry passengers and often mail along a regular route between two places.  Described by me as "The star of the Overland Trail" TV series and a wonderful old John Wayne movie.
