The Colorado Department of Transportation is continuing construction and maintenance projects on area highways this week. Watch for work crews, signage and reduced speeds in these areas:

• US 287 Northbound/Southbound near Eads (Milemarker 21-127) (through October 2016) 24 Hours- Sunday through Saturday. North and southbound lane closures mileposts 113-127 in Kiowa and Cheyenne Counties for panel replacement. Speeds are reduced.
• US 287 Northbound/Southbound North of Lamar (Milemarker 75.92-75.92) (through October 2016) Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. north and southbound right turn pockets at US287 signals at 10th and Lamar for infrastructure/conduit installation CO 96 Eastbound/Westbound Haswell, Kiowa County (Milemarker 130.59-166) (through
• November 2016) 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday - East and westbound SH 96 milepost 157 to 166 near Eads will have moving single lane closures throughout the project for paving. The project posted speed is 40 mph in the work zone. Expect 15 min delays. 14 foot width restriction in place during project work hours.
