Learn to Grow Native Plants from Seeds and Cuttings
The Pueblo Library is hosting a free seminar on growing native plants from seeds and cuttings.
The class will be taught by Ed Roland, Colorado State University Extension Native Plant Master, to help encourage growing native foliage to benefit wildlife, pollinating birds and insects, as well as people. Participants will receive free native seeds as part of their participation.
Plants native to Colorado require little, if any, supplemental water. Roland will talk about how to find seeds and successfully germinate them, as well as how to cultivate additional plants from cuttings from a parent plant.
The class will be held at the Rawlings Branch of the Pueblo City-County Library, 100 East Abriendo Avenue in Pueblo, February 17. The course will run from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Space is limited, and registration is required by calling 719-562-5600 or visiting www.pueblolibrary.org.
