A registering 3.1 on the Richter Scale occurred Saturday evening shortly before 11:00 p.m.

The epicenter was 93 miles south of Pueblo, Colorado, just south of the Colorado-New Mexico border, and occurred at a depth of about three miles.

No damage reports have been received. The area has been subject to frequent quakes of a similar size.

Most of the quakes have occurred in Las Animas County, followed by Weld County. The strongest, a 4.0, was recorded in early February near where Saturday’s 3.1 quake occurred.

A quake measuring 2.5 was recording in Kiowa County near the Great Plains Reservoirs in early August.
