The Kiowa County Hospital District Board met in special session on September 8, 2022, at 6:31 pm at the Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room.
District Board members present were: Mary Eikner, Pam Cole, Karl Eikenberg, Doug Uhland, and Matt Prince.
Others present: Rachel Bletzacker, Renay Crain, Beth Bell, Shannon Dixon, Jeanette Filpi via zoom and Beth Spady.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife is asking the public for help identifying the person(s) who killed a mule deer buck in the overnight hours between October 6 and 7 near the Town of Craig.
Wildlife officers were alerted to the deer carcass October 7 off Moffat County Road 31, about 5 miles northwest of Craig. The buck was shot with a rifle and left behind to rot.
“If you saw something, say something,” said CPW District Wildlife Manager Schwolert. “We are asking for the public's help in identifying the person or persons responsible.”

August 23, 2022
The Kiowa County Hospital District Board met in regular session on August 23, 2022, at 6:31 p.m. at Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room.
District Board members present were Pam Cole, Mary Eikner, Karl Eikenberg and Matt Prince. Absent - Doug Uhland.
Others present: Shannon Dixon, Rachel Bletzacker, Claire Prince, Abby Huff, Morgan King, Jeanette Filpi via zoom, and Beth Spady.
The Regular meeting of the Kiowa County Commissioners was called to order on September 29, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Donald Oswald. Chairman Oswald opened the meeting with prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance.
As fall temperatures set in, cold and flu season gets into full swing and holiday travel picks up, people will undoubtedly have questions about COVID-19 testing.
The committee formed to investigate the role of former President Donald Trump and key aides in last year’s Capitol insurrection faced high stakes as it held its 10th and possibly last public hearing on Oct. 13, 2022.
Social Security is set to boost the benefits it provides retirees by 8.7%, the biggest cost-of-living adjustment since 1981. It comes as sky-high inflation continues to eat into incomes and savings.
