Remains recovered in Clear Creek County earlier this summer have been identified as a woman who went missing in the county in February 2022.
February, 13, 2022, Melinda Tafoya-Deltoro, 38 called the Clear Creek County 911 Center from the Miner’s Candle area, stating that she was stuck in the snow. Deputies responded to the area and located a vehicle, but not Tafoya-Deltoro. An extensive search of the area at the time of her disappearance and in the following months showed no signs of the missing woman.
The Colorado State Patrol is seeking information about a fatal crash Tuesday.
