Lawmakers in Colorado’s Senate advanced three bills this week that seek to address gun violence.

Colorado’s Senate Finance Committee advanced a pair of bills Wednesday night that combine to overhaul the state’s tax code.

Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter has announced that he would be resigning effective June 1.

The Regular Meeting of the Kiowa County Commissioners was called to order on May 13, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Oswald. Commissioner Lening opened the meeting with Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. Those in attendance:

Dwayne L. Baxter was born to Louis A. Baxter and Imogene (Short) Baxter May 27, 1936, in Friona, Texas. Dwayne passed away Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Southeast Colorado Hospital. He was 84 years old.

Graveside services will be held at the Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, Colorado, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 2:00 p.m.
