Colorado egg production during March 2021 was 143.5 million eggs, up 7 percent from February 2021 and up 6 percent from March 2020 production, according to the Mountain Regional Field Office of the National Agricultural Statistics Service, USDA. The average number of layers on hand in March 2021 was 5.51 million, down 1 percent from February 2021 but up 6 percent from last year. Eggs per 100 layers were 2,605 eggs, up less than one-half percent from last year.
