Due to the increasing numbers of positive COVID-19 cases in Kiowa County, and the Southeast region of Colorado, the Kiowa County Board of Commissioners made the difficult decision to close county buildings for public access effective Monday, November 23, 2020. The Kiowa County Public Library District (KCPLD) will be following this closure effective until January 1, 2021. KCPLD staff will remain working on-site.
While the doors are closed, you can still access many of our services.

Colorado Governor Jared Polis is calling the state legislature into session to consider COVID-19 coronavirus relief for people and businesses in the state.

It was only a matter of time before our school was affected by COVID. We have had a staff member test positive today. This affects both the elementary school and the Jr/High Schools. The students and staff members who are to quarantine have been personally contacted. The exposure and test results have also been reported to the Kiowa County and Prowers County Health Departments as per protocol.
