Minor improvement in Colorado drought conditions
This week’s drought monitor update showed only one small area of improvement in north central Colorado.
Much of Boulder County, which had been abnormally dry, shifted to drought-free conditions. The nearly-perfect circle of improvement left behind strips of abnormally dry areas along the western and eastern borders. Much of the area has a foot more snow than is typical for this time of year.
Cheryl Sanchez Returns to southeast Business Development Center
The Southeast Colorado Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has announced the return of Cheryl Sanchez as a SBDC Consultant for Prowers, Baca, and Kiowa Counties. Sanchez served as both SBDC Director and LCC Business faculty in 2000 - 2001 before becoming a full-time faculty member. She retired from LCC as the Vice President of Academic Services and Student Services in December 2017.
