Lamar Community College Expands Summer Course Offerings

Lamar Community College has expanded its upcoming schedule and will be offering several exciting new courses during the summer semester.

“Higher education is about exploration, creativity, and continuing to grow as individuals,” commented Dr. Annessa C. Stagner, Dean of Academic Services at LCC.  “We’ve redesigned our summer offerings with this in mind, meeting the needs of both those who are seeking degrees and those who wish to take courses for individual development.”

National Window Safety Week

National Window Safety Week is designed to heighten the awareness of what can be done to help keep families safe from the risk of accidental falls or injuries in the home. Falls from a window are extremely dangerous, especially for children, and can cause serious injuries or death. While National Window Safety Week is observed annually, safety education occurs throughout the year.

Photo of the Week

One of our most popular features from the past 15 years - a full-page color photo on the front of the Kiowa County Press showing various impressions of life in Kiowa County. While a limited number of copies continue to be printed and distributed each week at Kiowa Healthmart and the COOP C-Store in Eads, we wanted to bring this feature to our online readers as well.

Then he saw the carboard boxes with bricks on top to hold them down in the wind, and an arrow on the front.

Saling! Yard saling! It’s that season again. And of course he had to stop. Especially if you hadn’t been yard saling in months.
