Brand Assessments Due June 30
Livestock brands are vital to protecting Colorado’s livestock industry and are an important part of the state’s history and culture. The Colorado Department of Agriculture’s Brand Inspection Division reminds brand owners that the brand assessment payment must be received in the Brand Office by 5p.m. on June 30, 2017, to avoid payment of a $25 late fee. A timely postmark will not suffice; payment must be physically received in the office by 5p.m. on June 30, 2017.

East End Events
Hi,
I am writing to all of you to inform you that I won't be writing any news articles over the summer. If you want me back in the fall, I can probably handle it then. If you can find someone to do it this summer and they want to continue with it, feel free to do that.
I have really enjoyed writing the article, but am feeling overwhelmed at this point and I have to cut back on some things.
Thank You,
Sharon

Kiowa County 4-H Cloverbuds Garden Projects

Weeks prior Kiowa County Extension Agent, Jeramy McNeely, met with Tina Kraft, Prairie Pines Administrator and discussed the possibility of adding a raised garden that the residents might enjoy. Not long afterward Kip Peck stepped up and volunteered to donate the wood for this large project, and Jeramy spent his afternoons putting it together out at the fairgrounds.
