As a spring snow storm system continues to move toward southeast Colorado, nearly all the area now faces a winter storm warning, a noticeable upgrade from earlier in the day.

All of southeast Colorado is under various winter weather alerts starting Friday evening, some of which run through Saturday evening and even as late as Sunday for southeast counties. Snow – possibly heavy – is expected to impact most of the area making travel difficult.
The Kiowa County Hospital District and County Board met in regular session on March 28, 2017 at 6:34 p.m. at the Bransgrove Building Meeting Room.
District Board members present were: Robert Woods, Mary Eikner, Sylvia Shields, Priscilla Waggoner and Cathryn Anderson.
County Board members present were: Lori Shalberg, John Negley and Dennis Pearson. Absent: Kim Harris (called) and Craig Kerfoot (called).

A cool and relatively dry Wednesday will give way to a series of systems over the next few days that will bring more rain and snow to southern Colorado.
