Help threatened and endangered wildlife with a voluntary contribution through the “nongame and endangered wildlife cash fund” on your Colorado tax returns this year. Filling out line No. 1 of Colorado tax form 104CH (the Voluntary Contributions Schedule form) supports wildlife rehabilitation and preservation of threatened and endangered species in the state through Colorado Parks and Wildlife programs.

Scholarship Deadlines Approaching at Lamar Community College
Each year, over $300,000 is available in scholarship funds at Lamar Community College. While the College and LCC Foundation plan to award the same amount next academic year, application deadlines are quickly approaching. All interested students should apply for scholarships as soon as possible.

Colorado students are among 765 students who completed associate, bachelor's or graduate degrees at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kan., in the fall 2016 semester.
Graduates are listed with their degrees and majors and, in parentheses, areas of concentration.
Fort Hays State, one of six public universities in the Kansas Board of Regents system, does not release degree lists until transcripts have been verified as having met all requirements for graduation.

Over the last seven years, the number of dead standing trees in Colorado forests increased almost 30 percent, to an estimated 834 million trees – or nearly one in every 14 standing trees.
FFA Oyster Fry and Hired Hand Auction Set

The Eads FFA Chapter is hosting its annual oyster fry and Hired Hand Auction on February 24, 2017, in the Eads High School gym at 6:00 p.m. Come enjoy Rocky Mountain oysters, chicken strips, coleslaw, fries, and many other sides and desserts. All FFA members are required to attend and sell their labor in the auction.
