Planes, automobiles, and…submarines? Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) just made a big splash with its latest application of 3D printing. Through a partnership with the Navy’s Disruptive Technology Lab, the team at ORNL’s Manufacturing Demonstration Facility (MDF) created the military’s first 3D-printed submarine hull.
Employers in Colorado added 6,500 nonfarm payroll jobs from May to June for a total of 2,647,000 jobs, according to the survey of business establishments. Private sector payroll jobs increased 6,100 and government increased 400.

Tuesday, May 9, 2017, Kiowa County Deputies received a report of a cold burglary in the 800 block of Hickman Street, Eads, Colorado. Kiowa County Deputies investigated the incident and issued five felony arrest warrants for burglary (C.R.S. 18-4-203(1) and theft (C.R.S. 18-4-401(1), (2) (D)). The warrants consist of three juveniles and two adult males. The two adult males were Joseph Burk of Eads, Colorado and Cedar Wilde of Lamar, Colorado. |
July 18, the Extension Office was fortunate enough to team up with the Kiowa County Public Library to do some programming for their Build a Better World Summer Reading Program. We were also fortunate enough to invite Miss Jessi Harris from the Americorp Program to come and help us out.
