Registration now open for 9^th Annual Girls in the Middle

The 9^th annual Girls in the Middle conference is coming up on Saturday, March 4, at Lamar Community College.  Registration for the event is now available at www.lamarcc.edu/GIM. 

Girls in the Middle is a one-day conference that aims to introduce middle school girls to a wide range of career opportunities and encourage them to continue studying math, science, and technology as they continue their education.

Random acts of kindness:  I saw Jo Shoemaker on Valentine’s Day, when she was handing out pink and red bags to people along Maine Street.  They contained a pretty pink glazed heart-shaped sugar cookie that she had made.   What a sweet treat!

Ag Hemp Presentation Set for Lamar Community College

The Colorado Department of Agriculture will host the Hemp Road Show on Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 1:00-4:00pm.  The event will take place in the Trustees Building at Lamar Community College in the Buchanan Events Room and Room 114.  The event is free and open to the public.
