LCC Fitness Center Expands Hours
The Lamar Community College Fitness Center has recently expanded its hours to better serve its users.
The Fitness Center will now be open Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday from 8:00 to 11:00am. It will be closed on Sundays and on major holidays, and any holiday closures will be posted in advance.

Lake Pueblo Swim Beach Ready for Memorial Weekend
The Colorado Parks and Wildlife team is preparing Lake Pueblo State Park for the unofficial start of summer on Memorial Day weekend and wants visitors to know what they can expect when they arrive.
Renovation work at the Rock Canyon Swim Beach facilities has been delayed due to a wet, stormy spring. As a result, a $500,000 project is behind schedule and the beach will not be ready by the traditional opening date of Memorial Day Weekend.
Effort Continues to Restore Lesser Prairie Chicken Population
Why did the lesser prairie chicken cross the state line?
Well, if Colorado Parks and Wildlife biologists are successful, the answer will be to rebuild populations of the rare and vulnerable bird that has mostly disappeared from the sagebrush and grasslands of the southeast corner of the state.
Hot Dogs Recalled Due to Metal Contamination
John Morrell and Co., a Cincinnati, Ohio establishment, is recalling approximately 210,606 pounds of ready-to-eat hot dog products that may contain metal according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).
The beef franks items were produced on January 26, 2017. The following products are subject to recall:
