Eads Middle School took part in the Junior High Valley Tournament held in Lamar Saturday March 9, 2018. The wrestlers were one of 21 teams with 240 wrestlers participating.

National Sorghum Foundation Offers Scholarships
Each year the National Sorghum Foundation offers several scholarship opportunities for college students to apply toward their tuition. The current sorghum scholarships available are the Bruce Maunder Sorghum Leadership Scholarship, the Darrell Rosenow Memorial Scholarship and the Sorghum Feed and Food Scholarship. Applicants for these scholarships should show commitment to a better future for agriculture and sorghum through their educational pursuits. There are different requirements for each. NSP encourages all qualified students to apply.
Unemployment Holds at 3 Percent in Colorado
Employers in Colorado added 7,100 nonfarm payroll jobs from December to January for a total of 2,693,900 jobs, according to the survey of business establishments. Private sector payroll jobs increased 7,300 and government decreased 200.

For the fourth consecutive day, portions of southeast Colorado will be under a red flag warning due to the high risk of fire across the region, while several inches of snow are expected elsewhere in the state.
