“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together and running over. For with the same measure shall others give to you. For with the same measure that you give shall be measured to you again.” That verse makes me wonder how many people actually give a tenth of their earnings back to the Lord.
The National Weather Service office in Pueblo announced late Saturday that its weather radar site has returned to service days earlier than expected following repairs.
In mid-September, the NWS announced that the site was offline due the failure of the bull gear. The gear is a primary component for rotating the radar antenna, and is located in the pedestal.
The Kiowa County Commissioner’s Special Meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m. on September 8, 2017 by Chairman Richard Scott. Those in attendance were:

McLoud moved to amend the agenda to include a signature requirement for a letter requesting an extension for the DOLA Grant. Oswald seconded the motion. Motion carried.
After a roller coaster week that saw hot, dry conditions with high fire danger for half the state, followed by much cooler temperatures and rain, autumn sets in for Colorado in the week ahead.
Eastern Plains
High temperatures Sunday will mainly be in the mid-50s to low 60s, with a chance for scattered showers continuing into Monday. Springfield will be the hot spot for the day, with a high in low 70s. Overnight lows will be in the 40s at least through mid-week.
It begins in early morning, when the early risers among us go out to do the chores. Later on, the day may seem almost summer hot, but early in the morning, we can feel it. We can sense autumn. Our eyes that are so tired from the sun’s burning can look silently around at the slight turning of the leaves, and we’ll know. It’s coming. We can feel it.
Hunting accidents have declined rapidly since the passage of two laws in 1970. One law requires hunter education training for all hunters born on or after January 1, 1949. The other requires hunters to wear at least 500 square inches of fluorescent orange clothing above the waist--including a head covering visible from all directions.

But twice a year, a national day of action, called National PrepareAthon! Day, focuses attention on the importance of creating a more resilient Nation by bringing together stakeholders, communities, and individuals to take preparedness action.
