Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission to Meet in Lamar
The Colorado Parks and Wildlife Commission will receive briefings on a variety of topics, including financial sustainability and the reissue and refund policy of big-game licenses at its November meeting in Lamar.
The meeting is slated to begin at 8 a.m. on Nov. 17 and adjourn at 11 a.m. on Nov. 18, at the CPW Lamar office, 2500 S. Main Street.

10 Tips to Make Physical Activity a Regular Part of the Day
Adding activity into your day is possible. Choose activities that you enjoy. Adults should aim for at least 2½ hours or 150 minutes of physical activity each week. Every little bit adds up, and doing something is better than doing nothing. Most important — have fun while being active!
1. Take 10
Do at least 10 minutes of activity at a time to reach your weekly goal. Walk the dog for 10 minutes before and after work and add a 10-minute walk at lunchtime.

Weather Outlook – the Week Ahead: Rain Thursday?

Warmer temperatures will continue through the middle of the week, and the forecast hints at some potential for rain or snow later in the week.
Sunday will be breezy, with north winds gradually increasing to 15 to 25 miles per hour in the morning. The high temperature will be around 70, with an overnight low of 30 expected.
Look for unseasonably warm high temperatures in the low to mid-70s continuing through Wednesday, with overnight lows remaining just above freezing.
American Legion Post #125 Hosts Annual Dinner
American Legion Post #125 annual dinner was held on Friday, November 11, 2016 in the Community Room at the Kiowa County court house. The dinner was catered by JJ’s Restaurant. Jennifer and her crew did a wonderful job of preparing and serving the meal.
