Kiowa County Commissioners Meeting Minutes – April 27

The Kiowa County Commissioner’s meeting was called to order on April 27, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. by Chairman Richard Scott. Scott opened the meeting with prayer and Pledge of Allegiance. Those in Attendance:

Richard Scott, Chairman of the Board

Cindy McLoud, Commissioner

Donald Oswald, Commissioner

Delisa Weeks, County Clerk

Tina Adamson, County Administrator

Oswald moved and McLoud seconded to approve the minutes of the April 10, 2017 meeting. All Commissioners voted Affirmative.

This Eads High School Graduation seemed a little more special this year.  Maybe it was in part because of the wonderful prelude music played by pianist Leisha Peck and senior guitarist, Rhett Uhland, singing and playing his own composition, “Always Coming Home.”  The speeches given by seniors: the welcoming by Chance Fowler, Salutatorian, Cameron Crow, Valedictorian, Fred Turner, and the farewell by Micah Crawford were delivered clearly.

Governor Orders Flags Lowered Monday to Observe Memorial Day

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on all public buildings statewide on Monday, May 29, in recognition of Memorial Day, and as proclaimed by President Donald J. Trump. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to noon.
