CBI Warns of Scammer Demanding Payment for Fines
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation has been receiving reports of phone calls from a person posing as a CBI agent who demands payment of fines to avoid arrest.
The scammer is using the name of an actual CBI employee. The calls have occurred numerous times over recent weeks.
CBI says it would never call people threatening arrest for unpaid debts, fines, or other fees, and advises anyone who receives a similar call to hang up without responding.

Then it came, and Florencio tied it behind the cantle of his saddle each day. And Florencio looked to the sky for any sign of a cloud, and then patted that slicker affectionately.
