Ken Buck Announces 2017 Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Ken Buck has announced the 2017 Congressional Art Competition for the Fourth Congressional District. The theme this year is “America the Beautiful.” High school students from the Fourth District are encouraged to submit an original work of art for the contest. Submitted works will be displayed during the month of April at Centennial Park Library in Greeley as part of the exhibition. On April 14, the winners of the competition will be announced at an awards ceremony, also held at Centennial Park Library. The winning work will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year.

Cora Coffman, Susan Greenfield and Jeanie Smith went to Granada last Tuesday evening to watch Ryan Koeller play basketball with the Granada Bobcats. On Thursday, Cora went to Cheyenne Wells to watch the basketball game between Cheyenne Wells and Holly, the number 1 and 2 teams. It was exciting with Holly coming out the winner. Cora stayed the night at her daughter, Sheila Brase's home and tended to some business before coming home on Friday.

Craig Kerfoot is an Eads man who has some ideas for persons who are interested in progressive measures to increase the economic growth of Eads and our country.  He has reserved the meeting room at the Eads Cobblestone Inn for Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:30 p.m. and invites citizens to come to hear ideas and collaborate for our future.  Let’s go hear what this grandson of Milt and Polly Louthan has to share.  I know it can only be good because he is the son of Ann Louthan Kerfoot.
