If you are like me, which I hope you aren’t, you’re having a little trouble getting your pants buttoned in the morning after an amazing Thanksgiving feast.  I’m also thinking ahead to the Christmas Parties and of course Christmas Day and how all that yummy food is going to affect my physique.  In contrast, as my belly gets bigger, my finances will become smaller with the purchasing of presents and various other charitable giving. 

The Weisbrod Hospital Auxiliary met November 14 to make more plans for the Fall Holiday Bazaar and Christmas plans. Linda Trosper organizer of the Annual Bazaar reported that we have over thirty tables of vendors. Madonna Pollreis, Barb Diel and Loretta Seibel volunteered to bring gifts for the Drawing.

that evening which is the monthly evening for Auxiliary ladies to play evening games at the ECU.

The Regular Meeting of the Town of Eads Board of Trustees was called to order by Mayor Shields, Tuesday October 10, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Hall. Robin Fox, Town Clerk, took roll call:

I cannot overemphasize how badly 2017 needed “Coco.” After 2016 saw no fewer than four animated films end up on my year-end Top 10 list, this year has been one of the worst in recent memory for animation. I barely have anything nice to say about “The Boss Baby,” “Despicable Me 3,” “The Lego Batman Movie,” or “Smurfs: The Lost Village.” Critics treated “The Emoji Movie” like a sign of the apocalypse and “Leap!” was even shoddier.

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper has announced that Doug Friednash will leave his role as the Governor’s Chief of Staff to rejoin the law firm of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP. Patrick Meyers will replace Friednash as Chief of Staff.

Sand Creek Massacre National Historic Site will mark 153 years since the attack by US troops on a group of Cheyenne and Arapaho camped on the Big Sandy Creek in 1864.  Three free commemorative programs will be offered Wednesday, November 29, 2017, two at the park and one at the Crow-Luther Cultural Events Center in Eads.
