Weekend Weather Outlook: Cooler, Still no Rain

By Chris Sorensen

Fall weather is firmly in place for the coming days, and the chance of rain – or snow – is still elusive.

Veterans Day starts with the coolest high temperature in months, reaching only the mid-50s. The overnight low is expected to drop to the mid-20s.

Low 60s are in store for Saturday afternoon, with the overnight low near 30.

Sunday marks the start of a potentially brief warmup, with temperatures approaching 70, which will return for Monday. Low to mid-70s are then expected Tuesday and Wednesday as high pressure returns to the southwest U.S. and moves east across the Four Corners area. Overnight lows during the period will be around freezing.

Rain and snow are not expected for Kiowa County in the current forecast – unwelcome news in light of drought conditions that continue to strengthen across Colorado.
