CSU Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2023 inductees include Eads native
The Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2023 features six former student-athletes, a former football coach, the Trahern Family (Jim, Bob, Sue, Jake and Ty) and the 2016-17 women's basketball team. Chelsea Vallejos of Lamar was a member of the team.
The Hall of Fame Induction ceremony was held in the Occhiato Student Center Ballroom on the CSU Pueblo campus October 6. The Hall of Fame Class of 2023 inductees were recognized during the Homecoming football game October 7 against Adams State played in the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.
Pianist Jerry Nelson to perform in Burlington October 22
Internationally-celebrated concert pianist, Jerry Nelson, will perform at the Burlington High School Auditorium.
Asphalt repairs set for Highway 96 in Kiowa and Crowley counties
Asphalt repair work is taking place over the next two weeks along a 17-mile segment of Colorado Highway 96, from east of Sugar City in Crowley County to Arlington in Kiowa County.
Beginning Monday, the Colorado Department of Transportation will replace the top layer of asphalt at various locations between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Flaggers will alternate one lane of traffic through each work zone. Delays up to 15 minutes should be expected.
Work is scheduled for completion by October 27, weather permitting.
