The Kiowa County Hospital District Board met in regular session on June 28, 2022, at 6:32 p.m. at Cobblestone Inn Meeting Room.
District Board members present were Pam Cole, Doug Uhland, Mary Eikner, Karl Eikenberg, and Matt Prince.

The La Junta Police Department, with assistance from the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, continues to investigate a stabbing that left one man dead.
Last Friday, around 6:30 a.m., the La Junta Police Department received a 911 call about a man lying in the street at the intersection of 9th Street and Santa Fe Avenue. The victim was transported to the Arkansas Regional Valley Medical Center in La Junta where he later died.
The Otero County Coroner notified next of kin and identified the victim as Charles Shane Cheatham, 47, of La Junta.
