Scott Stanley Tidswell, Jr. was born September 2, 1923, at Olathe, Kansas, to Scott Stanley Tidswell and Mary Elizabeth (Adams) Tidswell and passed away May 6, 2020, at the Mount St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs, at the age of 96.
Scott attended public school in Olathe, Kansas, and the University of Kansas. He served in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II from 1943-1946 as a Staff Sargent in France and Germany.
Mary Jane Kemp
July 7, 1930 – May 4, 2020
Mary was born on July 7, 1930, at Vega, Texas, to Emory and Effie (Coats) Bales and passed away May 4, 2020, at the Prairie Pines Assisted Living in Eads at the age of 89.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Kemp; her parents; daughter-in-law, Cindy Kemp; brother Jim, and sister, Tommie.
Muriel Mervine Steiner
July 14, 1924 - May 1, 2020
Muriel Mervine Steiner was born July 14, 1924, in Flagler to Forba and Evelyn Rose.
She married Art Steiner October 27, 1945, in Golden. To this union they had two daughters - Joyce Nash of Falcon, and Sylvia Stoker of La Junta.
Daughter Joyce and her husband, Jim Nash, have blessed Mervine with eight grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
For the first time in more than a year, Colorado has areas of extreme drought - the third worst category.
